Access and Security

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have an appropriate web browser or any other technical requirements in place in order to access and make use of the Site.

Delivery of products bought from this site is limited to the United Kingdom.

Privacy Policy

We have developed this policy because we want you to feel confident about the privacy and security of your personal information.

Email Addresses

We respect the privacy of personal email accounts and we store your email addresses just as securely as other personal information. We will not send you unwanted email messages or junk mail, and your details will not be passed to ANY organisation beyond Broadbandrecycle.com without your explicit permission.

However, we will use email to send you messages about outstanding orders. We may also use email to keep you up to date with news about our current products or services, as well as anything you show an interest in, either online, or through other contact with Broadband Recycle. If you do not want to be kept informed in this way by email, please let us know. You can do this by ticking the relevant box where your email address is entered at the point of ordering.

How Do We Protect Your Data?

When you make an order we use a secure server. Any data you give us is encrypted using a 'Secure Socket Layer' (SSL) session. SSL is an industry standard and is one of the best ways to ensure Internet messages are not intercepted. You should be aware, however, that older browsers cannot use SSL. To be sure, you will need Netscape version 4.05 or Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers, version 4 or above.

Security Policy

We take very great care to ensure that any personal information you enter on the www.broadbandrecycle.com website is kept safe and secure. When you type in your personal details, for example, our website automatically changes into secure mode. This means that the information you're sending us will be encrypted before it begins its journey over the internet to www.broadbandrecycle.com which in turn ensures that it can't be read by anyone else while it's in transit.

The enabling technology is called Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL for short. You'll be able to see when our website is in SSL mode, as you may be prompted by your browser that you are entering a secure site and/or a small padlock appears in the bottom right hand corner of you browser.

Your information is only decrypted back into its original format after we receive it at www.broadbandrecycle.com (Broadband Recycle).

When we store particularly sensitive information, such as credit card numbers, we immediately re-encrypt the details before putting them into storage. Moreover, as with all standard personal information, there are several additional measures that prevent unauthorised access at any point within www.broadbandrecycle.com.

Why do screen prompts tell me I'm being transferred to an insecure site?

It's our policy to use a secure protocol whenever personal information, such as account or credit card details, are being displayed or entered. When moving from these secure pages to unprotected pages, your browser may warn you of the fact.

What are cookies and does Broadband Recycle use them?

Cookies are tiny bits of information that many websites, including www.broadbandrecycle.com, put on your computer to enable them to recognise you more quickly during future visits; for example, 'Welcome back John Smith'. They do not tell us anything about you, except simple information, such as your login name.

Should you so decide, you can instruct your browser to reject cookies, or inform you before accepting a cookie from the sites you visit. You can do this by editing your browser options.

For security reasons, none of your personal information is stored in the cookie. To view the content of all cookies on your computer, use the Find utility to search for a file called cookies.txt and open it in an editor. Do not alter this file, unless you wish to remove certain cookies.

What about privacy?

At Broadband Recycle, your personal privacy is one of our top priorities. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to anyone else. That said, we may provide statistical information to reputable third-party vendors. This does not allow any individual to be identified. If this policy changes, we'll inform you and ask your permission to pass on any information to third parties.

Law

These Conditions are governed by and will be interpreted in accordance with English Law and any disputes relating to these Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Prevention of Fraud

In assessing your request for goods or services, we may use your information for the purposes of the prevention and detection of fraud. One of the purposes for which we may disclose your address and postcode details is to check against the IMRG Security Alert or any other Fraud Prevention Scheme. At all times where we disclose your information it will remain secure.
